Kurmei is an interactive, source-first history of Sudan.

What we are building

Kurmei connects events, people, places, organizations, documents and claims into a navigable historical knowledge graph. Instead of presenting history as isolated articles, the product is designed to let readers move through time, geography and evidence.

Editorial principle

Historical claims should be traceable to sources. Dates, locations and relationships may be uncertain or contested, so Kurmei will represent uncertainty rather than hide it.

AI and research

AI may assist with document extraction, entity discovery and relationship proposals, but research-agent output is intended for human review before publication.
